I am SO late updating the blog and a new year of weddings will be here soon. So I am going to attempt to get a few of these weddings up that I haven’t blogged yet. I chose Helen and Mark’s wedding for our valentine’s post for alot of reasons, the first being that Helen and Mark were so fun. I recently watched Mansfield Park and one of my favorite quotes is “There are as many forms of love as there are moments in life” and now being a wedding photographer I have seen so many forms of love. What I liked about Helen and Mark was their fun and easy spirits. They were both very easy going and just excited to get married. Another reason I choose their wedding is the beautiful venue. It was our first trip to Misty Farms and it was lovely. I have said it many times, I love me an outdoor wedding, natural light, lots of photographic backdrops and fresh air. Even though their wedding day was fairly windy and cold it was a beautiful day. We also really enjoyed the food from EAT and the beautiful flowers were done by Pot & Box. Here are a few images of their beautiful day!

They had to change the location of the ceremony but it was still very lovely by the barns!

A silly moment.

The beautiful bridal party.

Loved the cake and toppers!

My favorite detail of the day was the H&M

And as the day went on there was far more of this…

And then they danced the night away! Literally! Some weddings are all work and no play, some are equally both and others are lots and lots of play. Helen and Mark knew how to have fun and enjoyed every moment of their night together! Congrats to you two, hope you are still enjoying the marriage party. ;)

Goodnight folks!

Got out in the cold to take a few pics of Connor. Every year I have photographed this boy since he was little and it is so fun to watch him grow. :)

Sarah and Johnathan’s wedding was a great first wedding of the year. (yep, first wedding of the year… that is how far behind I am at blogging).

The colors were amazing. I love the purple shoes!

And the purple flowers were pretty awesome too.

I took pics of my lovely niece Abby a few weeks ago, it was FREEZING. But she was a good sport. Next year we are going to get out earlier to get some fall color. :) Here are pics of the beautiful Abby!

Happy Thanksgiving world. Remember to embrace the moments you have been given, because life is full of uncertainty. Love is the only thing worth fighting for, give thanks for the ones that make your world spin around.

While Anita and Josh might not have had the best weather starting the day, everything turned out beautiful the second time around. For Anita and Josh there were two ceremonies, both were spose to be outdoors but one was moved under a tent and luckily the second one was out in the pine grove. It was the most unique experience shooting a wedding for sure. It was gorgeous and we got to take carriages to get to the ceremony. Here are a few favorites from their outdoor wedding.

My absolute favorite “detail” of the day was the cabin. I loved the interior, it was exactly what I want for our next home. The walls were awesome and the loft was filled with beds, thought that was such a neat way to make memories.

Love henna, one day I would love to have this on my hands. :)

Manistee on the map. Such a cool little detail in the cabin.

Can you get more awesome than this?

This makes me smile.

Who wouldn’t love this ceremony location?

Love this, the lights look so cool. Thanks Mike for taking more night time shots. :)

Ok, they are in the featured page, and yes most of these are repeat images… but did I ever tell you how much I LOVED this wedding. Everything about it. I know as a mom I am not suppose to play favorites when it comes to my kids, but weddings are not children and this is one of my favorite weddings of all time. The location, details, people, fun, music. It is all wonderful wrapped up into one day. Here are a few fave images from the spectacular day.

I love shoes, I don’t have many or wear different pairs often… but I love taking pics of them.

Did I tell you that I love Toms. I am reading Blake’s book right now “Start something that Matters” and surprisingly loving it. I am loving that they are now working with sight and selling sunglasses. :)

I am a big fan of good music. My music might not be pleasing to the masses but I love when I get to listen to awesome music throughout a wedding day. This was a constant theme for the day.

Love meaningful jewelry. I don’t have alot of jewelry and I am not a huge fan of accessorizing (but of course for a wedding that’s a different story) but I love when jewelry means something. The elephant necklace was given as a gift I believe from Ai’s father when she was little. So cute.

Laughter, doesn’t everyone love laughter and their was plenty of it all day long!

Wrist tattoos… I love them. I have one and plan on getting another one soon.

Love when daughters help their moms get ready.

Completing the look.

Wedding flowers! Especially wedding flowers from the awesome A Moment In Time, Jen.

Details!

Cranes!

A creative way to remember your guests.

Rings and personalized animated bride and groom!

Zingerman’s Cakes!

OUTDOOR weddings! Especially when it doesn’t rain.

Any and all signs!

Happy brides and grooms! Can’t you just tell how excited and happy they are.

Awesomeness.

Cuteness.

The stash.

More TOMS.

DANCING brides and grooms. :) So fun.

One of my absolutely favorite details from the day was the home maid, life sized, Jenga!

And to end the post I love when my husband takes night time shots of the venue. By the end of the night I am exhausted and usually wouldn’t have it in me to set up the tripod, wait for the right exposure and take these pics, but he always does. Or at least when the venue is photogenic. ;)
